10 Mbits/half duplex
Technically, the ethernet adapter "works". In that it can transmit and receive traffic. However, the unit I received would only connect to a switch at 10 Mbps and half-duplex, despite reporting 100 Mbps full duplex to the driver. This results in about 3 Mbps on a good day. Fine if you're just using your raspberry pi to transmit sensor data or make occasional API calls. Bad if you want to use it for streaming video or other bulk transfer of data. The USB 2.0 hub seems to work fine.
