Cold Steel CS20CBLZ Canadian Belt Fixed Knife 4 Blade & Black Handle

Better then a Mora
Bought this and a Swiss Mora for comparison as both were within $1 in price and less then $15 each. Both had plastic sheaths that are of a belt clip on type, fine for the money. However the Cold Steel was heavier built, more solid, and sharper. I like the blade geometry of the Cold Steel better as well. This Canadian Belt knife also has a stainless steel blade, but the Mora was carbon steel. I often prefer carbon steel blades for ease of sharpening, however there are many types of carbon steel. While no expert, the carbon steel blade used in the Mora started to stain and rust immediately after use, much faster then any other carbon steel blade I have ever used. I mean within a few hours. The Cold Steel blade being stainless of course was not plagued with such a problem. So far no need to sharpen as I have been using it in the kitchen to butcher meat and cut up vegetables. If this knife had full tang construction I would give it 5 stars but it also would likely be much more expensive. 4 1/2 stars is how I really feel about this knife, tough to find a better value for under $15. I gave the first one I bought to a friend who was admiring it and bought another one immediately. The second knife was of same quality as the first and virtually identical to the first. While this is of insufficient sample size to state that the quality control from knife to knife is flawless, it is consistent with the high quality control I have found with the Cold Steel knives I have purchased in the past. I think this is the 10th Cold Steel I have purchased and I hope to purchase more in the future.
