Hottest Country Western Swing
Playing in the road band for Ernest Tubb may have had its privileges, but over time it likely created its own insanity. Fortunately, ET was wise enough to give his stable of musicians some free rein, particularly in allowing them to display their incredible musical talents in this compilation of instrumental tracks culled from numerous ET albums in addition to the records showcasing the Troubadours themselves.
Bear Family records are known for their encyclopedic collections, and this one is no different, pristine recording quality, exhaustive research, and entertaining liner notes. What any collector longs for. If you are a fan of Western Swing music, the likes of Speedy West and Jimmy Bryant, Vance Terry, Jimmie Rivers, et al, you'll desperately want to own this collection to hear the impressive technique and musicianship of the great country steel players Buddy Emmons and Buddy Charleton paired with the unsung master of country jazz, Leon Rhodes.

Shower Squeegee
The true test of this product is how long it will last, and it is too early to tell, but it is certainly made well and appears to be a good value. Our last one got so mildewed and no amount of bleach would get rid of it. We hope this one does better. I think a slightly larger size would be preferable if offered.

Martin Monel Strings
If you are looking to give your acoustic guitar an earthier tone, try these strings for size. I was used to phosphor bronze strings on my Martin OO-18 and Taylor 814ce, but sometimes they can be a little too bright. These retro strings sound bright but not harsh, with a robust tone. Maybe you won't like them, which I understand, but maybe they would appeal to you. They don't sound dead, just darker. I prefer them on the Martin, and they work well on the Taylor, but the Taylor has a brighter high end and the phosphor bronze serves it better. A change of pace. Try them.
