Inexpensive option, time will tell with respect to longevity
The backplate of my pump had burrs left over from the manufacturing process. I did not remove the backplate until the third installation attempt to get the pump to working without significant spraying leaks. So I'd recommend people who buy this pump check the backplate for burrs. This pump has a plastic impeller versus a metal impeller, so long term it is hard to say if it will endure. I reused one gasket from my original pump and made a new gasket for the backplate, since the existing backplate gasket had cuts from the burrs . . . and of course filed down the burrs. I still had one extremely minor seeps around the very top screw hole. It is annoying, but significant probably not. I've only put about four hours on the tractor, a TC45DA, since installation.
