Junk - A vauable lesson that only cost me $11.55!
I don't know what, but I suspect it's the teensy weensy gauge of cable wire, but these will barely charge anything! Trying various makes/models of tablets, 2-in-1 devices, and smartphones, all had similar results. Samsung Galaxy S3 (3 of them), HTC, Evo 4G LTE, HTC Evo Shift, Asus T100, Hisense Sero 7, Hisense Sero 7 Pro. If the device actually recognizes power is plugged in to charging, charging time takes painfully long amounts of time compared to other cables on the exact same power brick. If the device does not recognize it's plugged into power, it still appears to receive and accept at least some type of charge, but never registers as charging. This spooks me. I wonder if the device will every know what is going on once the battery is fully charged and not kill something slow and painfully like a frog in a pot of water slowly made to boil. The T100 would act like it saw a ghost. It thought it saw something, then would try to charge, then say "Oops, must not be anything there, my bad." This is not my first time purchasing generic USB cable. These were to replace some other generics that wore out from small children improperly plugging and unplugging. The cables these are replacing clearly have thicker gauge wire in the cable. I plan on giving these cables to people I dislike. Note to self, paying $1.16 per cable is a deal too good to be true... It's not worth shipping them back.
