The Boys of Pointe du Hoc: Ronald Reagan, D-Day, and the U.S. Army 2nd (NoDust)
    Sep 27, 2016
Very well written story of the Rangers DDay Mission and Reagan's praise speech
Brinkley tells the compelling story of the Rangers' DDay mission and President Reagan's 1984 speech. Honoring the men and honoring Peggy Noonan's beautifully crafted words brings insight into an important event both on DDay and 40 years later.
YESTERDAY IN THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY BY GILBERT J. JORDAN 1979 1ST ED. HARDBACK
    Sep 06, 2016
    The way things were....
Having been raised near the German-Methodist community this portrays, I found the story a wonderful one of how my grandparents lived in the '40's and early '50's. From milking each morning to gathering eggs to butchering hogs using every part, it reminds one of life on most farms and ranches before television and computers. The neighbors coming long distances to eat or play dominoes or cards was what made for communities that sent their young to fight for our nation's freedom. READ IT! YOU WILL BE A BETTER AMERICAN.
If the Devil Had a Wife : A True Texas Tale by Frank Mills
    Mar 09, 2021
    Spot on!
Best part is that the tale is true! I knew many of the characters and even worked for "The Devil's Wife" for a while. Fantastic page turner revealing even the best of families have skeletons in closets!
