Grip and Rip
Top shelf grips; install easily, look good, and feel good on the hands. Smaller in diameter than stock; a plus for the ladies. Installed on 2018 FLHP Police Model Road King. Don't forget the handlebar switch housings use a T-25 Torx whilst the clutch and brake mounts are T-27. Good value. No negative remarks. Enjoy.

Works just fine.
It does what it is supposed to do. I purchased it in green to get added contrast between the gauge and the metallic fastener when measuring thread pitch.

Works well cleaning Harley-Davidson carburetors.
1 of 1 found this helpful Works well cleaning Harley-Davidson carburetors. The heater works well (keep the lid on to retain the heat) and the ultrasonic transducers are much quieter than I expected. It is easy to use, clean up, and works as promised.
To clean oil and fuel varnish I first scrubbed the carburetor body and fuel bowl with a brass brush and carburetor cleaner. Next, I removed more organic oils and grease in my parts washer filled with mineral spirits.
I rinsed the parts in tap water and immersed them in the 3-liter ultrasonic tank filled with tap water heated to 60oC (140oF). Alternately, you can use distilled water. More importantly is the need to keep the cleaning solution pH neutral (close to 7) for so as not to damage aluminum. I prepared a slightly basic solution consisting of one shot glass of ammonia and another shot glass of laundry detergent. Laundry detergent does not foam. Do not use strong acids, bases (Purple Power or Calcium, Lime, Rust (CLR)), or oxidizers (bleach) as this will damage the aluminum castings. You can substitute a commercial cleaner, Dawn, or other dish soap, as well as Simple Green. You do not need much soap as the hot water and ultrasonic-induced cavitation do most of the cleaning for you. The detergents function to both reduce surface tension in the water and emulsify the dirt (keep it in solution). That is why you need to rinse the parts. The decrease in surface tension enables the surfactants in the soap to lift and emulsify the contaminants.
I cleaned for two 5-min. cycles and the parts were clean after one 5-min. cycle. Immediately rinse in cold tap water and blow the parts dry with compressed air.
The finished parts come out clean to the parent metal and ready for reassembly and service.
