Klein cable grab grabber puller grip
This tool has many names! Klein calls this particular one the Havens cable grip. Klein makes an outstanding line of these cable pullers. The subtle but significant difference between the models is whether it has a latch. The latch is designated by the "L" at the end of the model number. The latch swings over the area where the cable gets clamped, preventing the cable from popping out during use. What this does is extremely helpful when you are dealing with dynamic environments, where the the cable, and maybe you, are not steady. The Klein line of cable pulling grips has a number of variations for different applications. This one is probably as generic as it gets for pulling cable, such as for zip lines, farming operations, guy lines, etc. One tip when picking the right one - make sure it will fit the diameter of cable you are using. It is a great product!

The Forever War
There are several versions out there. Try to get the one that is the author's preferred version, which usually has a cover with a man facing you, close-up head-shot with a little of the left shoulder showing, in a white helmet, with an eye-piece on his left eye. Warning to parents regarding younger readers: I would rate the book between "PG-13" and "R-rated" due to language and references to sex. The story itself is absolutely amazing, with technology dreamed about in the 70's (when written) that are compelling even today. One such technology, described in the background of the story (not a spoiler!), is the use of drones. These have and are becoming so much of our modern military,so I was taken back when I read about them in the story. I'm a retired military guy, and I can tell you the "feel" of the story is realistic, especially viewed from an enlisted man's (or woman's) perspective. If you don't have a military background, I would think it would give a person special insight into some of the motivations, conflicts, sarcasm, frustrations, sadness, elation, "luck," miscalculations, politics, and other aspects to warfare. The author openly states the context is the Vietnam "conflict," but I found the context to be every bit as relevant to the generation following Vietnam (my military generation). From a purely science fiction standpoint, it is every bit as good as any story out there for my personal taste. I can see why it is a classic. I found the personalities well-defined, logic of events "realistic" in the context and assumptions of the story, and the science to be excellent. I'm an engineer by trade (sorry!), and despite as picky as I can be, found the science and engineering described in the story to be believable. A lot of the modern movies and stories sometimes go so far away from well understood laws of physics, that it really makes my yawn. No so with this amazing book.

Great value and safe carabiners for ziplines and rope swings
1 of 1 found this helpful For extra strong and functional carabiners for ziplines and swings, this is a great value. I can't comment on climbing use, but we use them on a 100 yard zipline for both the trollies, handlebar, and sometimes climbing harness loops. We also have two tall swings, a rope swing with a large homemade disk for a seat, and the other is a tire swing. We use these carabiners as a quick disconnect for the seat and tire for both weather and safety (that is, so no one uses it without permission). These carabiners make a great way to connect the lines from the seat/tire to the main ropes. The carabiner is a little tricky to connect to the trollies due to the shape, but it is no problem. The carabiner opening gate screws closed, adding a 2nd layer of safety. We really like the extra safety for people that visit and aren't as familiar with our equipment.
