NIB Steering Cable Rack 15ft M86X15 Uflex and Teleflex SSC124 only Outboard

Made my steering great again

I have a 1994 Bayliner Capri with a 120 Force/Merc. outboard. It took both hands and considerable effort to turn when over 10mph or so. I had already cleaned and greased all the steering components the year before without much success. This new cable really made all the difference. My wife, that wouldn't drive the boat before, is happy to do so now.

Sloppy

I have no idea why they designed it so it doesn't fit into the slot of the keymod and tighten in like all other keymod accessories I've seen. The snap rings are tiny and a major pain to try to install even with scribes. I've never complained about instructions because I've always just looked an the exploded views and been able to figure everything out very quickly. There are no pictures or exploded views of any kind and the instructions are terrible and vague. Most of my confusion came from the fact that I couldn't believe that they would actually want me to put it together the way its supposed to because everything ends up being sloppy in the end. I gave it three stars because when you get it mounted, the tension of the jacking screw on the bipod pulls everything tight enough to use.

Leaks

My plan was to put an airlock through the lid and use this for sauerkraut. I don't trust the seal enough to do that now. The gasket seats differently when I close the container each time. Water leaks out even when I try to center the gasket as much as possible. I still need to try adjusting the tension of the hinge to decrease/increase how much it clamps on the back. I may be able to get a better seal by doing that. This product is a great value if you don't have to have a perfect air-tight seal.
