Awesome Japan-made guitar. Stunningly good build quality. Better than USA-made (sorry to say)
This is an outstanding stratocaster in every way. Here are some of the highlights:
1. Excellent alnico pickups. Very chimey and quite bright, without harshness. Not an aggressive pickup.
2. Perfect build quality and workmanship. Fret ends are so smooth. No sharp ends, unlike my Mexican made strat. Flawless finish. The Japanese Fender factory certainly know how to craft a great guitar!
3. Light weight -- exactly 7 pounds. This model has a basswood body which gives it lightness and a lot of resonance. When strummed unplugged the guitar really rings out.
4. Rosewood fretboard. It's very smooth, dark and dense. Much nicer looking than pau ferro wood.
5. Vintage features. It has vintage frets which I prefer. Also has vintage style tuners which work are rock-solid at keeping the guitar in tune. Has 9.5 fretboard radius which is a good middle-ground for easy lead playing and easy chording.
6. Value for money. For a very reasonable price, you're buying a Japanese-made guitar that is superior to Fender Mexican made stratocasters and at least equal to the USA made ones. I have all three, so am able to speak from personal experience.
Buy one! You'll be amazed at the quality.

Better than the others, for less $$
Believe me, this is just as good or better than the bigger brand name bats for way less. The ball explodes off this bat! Looks sleek too with the gold and black accents.
