Tuning sensitivity has been challenging
2 of 3 found this helpful I have 5 Arlo wireless cameras. Overall I like the product. The picture quality is good and I haven't had any of the issues that some people have reported with delayed activation. Initial setup is easy, but I have had a very difficult time tuning sensitivity on a couple of the cameras. Both of them catch some of my (residential) street in their field of view (about 30-40 ft away). I've tweaked their aim to where it is well under 5%. They're really pointing down too much now imho. However, no matter how low I set the sensitivity passing cars set off the cameras. I've set it so low that now people don't set the cameras off until they are really close, well under what I want to capture.
I've taken to only activating them after about 11:00 PM when traffic is very light, so I only get a couple of false positives a night, but not being able to use them during the day is frustrating.
My next step is to rearrange their position to hopefully miss the street completely, but those angles are not as optimal.
I'm giving the system a 3 because the other cameras have proven very useful, and I might be able to overcome this issue by moving the cameras. I'll reevaluate after I move them.
