Bargain.
Incredible value for money. Needs some work to get the best out of it, but half of this hobby is tweaking and getting your hands dirty. Spend some time setting up and you will have a blast with this truck.

Small n sweet.
Tiny sealed enclosures with a beautifully built stepped front baffle made of composite plastics. Cabinets are light but well made and need to be on heavy rigid stands. Driven by cyrus gear they are well happy producing a musical fluid and rich (for their size) sound. However very analytical gear will quickly reveal their flaws. Little gems in a nutshell, lots of fun to listen to, image very well indeed, a mission heyday product!

tim, we miss you.
Never did a band miss their singer so much. The music is still beautiful and beyond reproach but, and it is a big one, the world view is now almost normal. Tim Smith's ability to create utterly bizzare and confusing worlds from which to launch his tales of dissafection and maladjustment leaves this album feeling somehow hollow. Banman, Occupanther, and Courage all took us out of this world the better to illustrate it's shortcomings. This album however keeps it's and our feet firmly on the ground, no room for the imagination to soar. Midlake are still a great band of truly talented musicians and the album has some great moments, but gone is the lost hour floating in a seemingly parallel universe.
