two in one filter/shutoff vavle
I was looking for a filter unit with a sediment bowl, similar to the ones used on a lot the early gas vehicles. The sediment bowl is the best way to remove large particles. Why send these particles to the filter when the sediment system can remove them. This particular unit not only has a sediment bowl it also has fine screen mesh filter built into the housing located above the bowl. I'm not sure the micron size of the screen but it looks similar one you see at the bottom of many gas tanks, so I consider the screen a bonus.
I used the unit mainly for sediment catch system and it worked great. I installed it (on a used generator I purchased ) ahead of my main 10 micron fuel filter and from there to the carburetor. The settlement bowl caught a lot of bits and pieces of stuff, stuff I did't recognize. So for my purpose it worked out to be 5 stars.
