Good product
1 of 1 found this helpful First this was everything that the description said it was. The remote leaves a little to be desired which is what really cost them a five star rating fro me. The apps are as easy to use as on any other system I have used.
My biggest complaint is with the Time Warner. There was an issue with setting these up properly and it took days for them to be right. And through that whole time I kept hearing from Time Warner tech's that these are junk and the technology is junk. I finally got tired of hearing it and told them the box is Samsung and the tuning adapter is Cisco...neither company is known for making junk so knock it off and fix the issue. Lucky for me that on the fourth day we had a service tech who knew how to read a screen and asked me "see that message that says weak signal? Well that means you have a weak signal I'll bet". Sure enough he tested the lines and the signal was weak. He installed a power booster on the line and everything took 15 minutes to setup after that. That message had been there the entire time and I can't remember anyone testing any signal strength inside my home.
Bottom line is these are a great alternative to paying to rent their stuff but don't be surprised when they complain about having to do the "extra" work. By the way if you use Time Warner Cable...they have a dedicated line just for Cable Card setup so if the tech doesn't call it...shame on them!!
