alright overall
i think the headset is overpriced for the following reasons.
it doesnt sit comfortably, im a bigger guy and my ears feel cramped inside, i dislike that i cant manually adjust the headset i find it sliding backwards on my head so i need to place the headband at the top of my head frequently.
the 7.1 virtual surround isnt worth the price tag, the sound card isnt particularly great quality. i had better audio quality and spatial awareness by using the headset with the 3.5mm plug alongside dolby atmos for headphones/DTX sound unbound
you need to use the windows volume mixer to adjust the volume if you arent using the control box/sound card USB dongle. this wouldnt be that big of an issue if it didnt remember the settings you had set using the usb dongle while switching over to the 3.5mm plug which means if you had the volume dial turned up all the way with the dongle and then switch to the 3.5mm it effectively triples the volume. i found that the sweet spot for me is about 20-25 on the windows volume mixer after switching to 3.5mm and it's still quite loud
it has decent features. it feels durable audio quality overall isnt bad once i switched to 3.5mm and the detachable mix is a good feature though i find there's no comfortable spot for the mic while wearing it, it gets bumped around a lot especially while drinking i think part of the issue is that it has built in mic sound filter which forces me to keep it fairly close to my face while in a call with friends and again this leads to me awkwardly angling drinks around it while playing a game when i want to quickly drink some water or whatever while in a game and dont have time to readjust the mic
