    Good drive
I like these Hitachi TravelStar drives. They seem to be quiet, reliable and quick - big considerations for me. This one was to get a defunct laptop running again - security required HDD drive pull-out and destroy. I got the laptop as a hand-me-down and needed to get it running well for GIS and CAD work in the field. Added some memory and this drive, running compressed as an NTFS drive for room to store CAD files and aerial photos. Drive has performed well for a while and I see no indication it will die :)

    Good saddle.
Nice medium width comfort saddle with a very nice leather cover. Tried it back to back with a Velo Cloud - O memory foam saddle. This one wins hands down :)

    Homelite Pro20 46cc chainsaw
Homelite built their reputation on building light weight saws. The original XL12 was named that because it was the first chainsaw to be ready to run at around 12 lbs. This saw certainly continues the idea of light weight in the 45cc class (please note: I'm reviewing the saw with the traditional two bar-clamp bolts, NOT the one with "tool-less" chain adjustment). It's a decent saw made by the same folks who build Ryobi. I've been under the hood enough to see that it's very well made. The Ryobi sports a Zendoa cylinder & piston. I can't tell if this one does too? Nice features are modest actual steel felling dogs, a primer bulb and a choke, .325x.050 Carlton chain, decent bar with lube holes for the sprocket tip bearings. The bad parts are the lack of torque and the tiny spark plug. This saw likes to wind and it needs to be kept on the boil to work well. The stock chain is a Carlton Semi-Chisel and it's a bit too aggressive for the power band on this saw. Put any pressure on during the cut and you'll bog the motor (and yes, my carb is adjusted right). It helps a LOT if you pull the muffler and drill a second hole next to the outlet. About 1/4" works well. Replace the screen and deflector and put it all back on, re-adjust the carb and it'll pull the chain better in denser cuts. It's a bit louder, but not bad. You'll need to get the Double D carb adjustment tool from Randy's Small Engines here on eBay. All in all, a good light weight saw for larger limbing work, felling trees up to 14~16 inches, cutting fire wood, cutting out your other big saw when it gets bound-in (which is what I bought it for). Be aware that the Homelite parts source web site is not that easy to use. You type your model number in and it may not look like it accepted it, but hit the proceed button anyway and sometimes it works.
