Sierra 18-5186 Mercury Coil
Yes, this part fits well and works just fine. Make sure though when ordering you are ordering a coil that will come with the spacer sleeve (as shown in the picture) required to install on many late model Mercury outboards.
Apparently Sierra make this product in bulk and may ship them without the spacer sleeve, since older models do not require them.
Older, different models use the plastic sheath seen in the picture and mount differently than the through bolt style later design.
If you receive the coil without the sleeve spacer you will have to wait for Sierra to ship the sleeve separately, very frustrating.
The seller should be aware of this issue at time of purchase to expedite any parts necessary ahead of time to prevent delay.
Otherwise, no issues.

Sierra Seal Kit
I haven't installed it yet, but have installed one of the same. It came in a timely manner and Sierra makes good quality repop products for the marine industry. It is nice to know Sierra has a market for older outboard motors. I'm not worried one bit that it will fit perfectly.
