Good Robot Vac but noisy and clumbsy
2 of 2 found this helpful I already own a Roomba J7+ that i am quite pleased with. With a dog and a cat, pet hair is constantly a hassle and needs to be addressed daily. Hence the reason i purchased the S9+.
All of the literature and marketing hype talk about the fact that the S9+ is great for dog hair. That turns out to be a pretty accurate statement. The issue I have found, in comparing the two machines is that the S9+ is like a "bull in a china shop". It doesn't like throw rugs, fringe on carpet and has been known to move furniture trying to clean (In all fairness, i did discover a setting that makes it more gentle on moving furniture). It is also very loud.
I have not had any of the issues described above with the J7+ however it is not quite as good in the pet hair department. Setting the passes to two seems to solve that issue. Still undecided on which one to use my combination of rugs, tile and hardwood floors. Suspect that the S9+ will be relegated to the second floor which is mostly carpet.
