Have always used Mr Hobby products and can't fault them for the finish it gives all paint coverage and seems to last very well also.

Limited in function

As an ex Rover mechanic (this is a land rover jaguar tester) I know there is more functionality offered by vehicle systems that I think this tester does not exploit. I also purchased a Volvo icarsoft diagnostic unit, and this gives a greater scope of testing systems, and provides more detail in its diagnostic capabilities, however i will say that the unit, albeit providing basic functions of diagnosis and code clearing, would be useful for the home mechanic to utilise, and will if used correctly save money in the long run. It is intuitive to use and will self identify most onboard systems, to eliminate incorrect function testing which could lead to costly misdiagnosis.
