You'll be glad you have this tool.
This is one of those tools that you didn't realize you needed, and although you won't use it that often, won't be able to do without. I struggled with this job, fingers made raw by trying to stretch the canvas covers so the snaps would reach, but to no avail. Then a sailing buddy says "You know, there's a tool for that job, right?" No I didn't, but I can't imagine not having this thing.
Get one. If this is a job you're trying to do, you need this.

Irish Folk Legend
There are few staples I recommend for anyone interested in Irish music, and without which any recorded library would be woefully incomplete. Planxty, De Dannan, The Chieftains, The Dubliners, and Paddy Reilly. This three CD set includes, in my opinion, all of Paddy's best songs and best arrangements. Particular favorites include Farewell to the Rhonda, The Craic Was 90, The Galtee Mountain Boy, The Town I Loved So Well, and a great version of Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore which no one seems to do these days. Many other great songs are included.
Great value, and I have the CD's so I can rip in any digital format I want.

Frankie Gavin and Alec Finn...need we say more?
Frankie Gavin's landmark LP, should be in every traditional Irish musicians collection. Accompanied by the late, great Alec Finn, they went on to be the linchpins of De Dannaan. From the very first track, Martin Wynne's, through The Peacock's Feather, Charles O'Connor, The Pigeon On The Gate, and ending with the Congress, this album represents all that is pure and enduring in Irish Traditional Music. Many great standards for the musicians out there, and very listenable for the casual enthusiast.
