Super durable sunglasses retainer ...

Adore this extra lightweight sunglasses retainer strap, which has proven to be as strong as any product I've tested. Most of the run-of-the-mill string-based retainers are flimsy–the cord, or the rubber connector that secures to the tether to the glasses temple, break after a few months of delicate use. The Chums Orbiter is ultra durable. The product's a pleasure to own, handsome, and packs well when glasses go into a carrying case. I've only the highest praise for this product, and the price was right. Well done.

Inexpensive digital microscope ... iffy on Mac

This portable USB microscope is advertised as cross platform, however, have found it unreliable on recent versions of OS X (El Capitan, Sierra). Photo Booth's the recommended application, but PB does not recognize the device 50% of the time. It's unclear whether it's a physical connectivity defect or a driver conflict. It works okay on Windows 10, but has troubles being recognized on Windows 7 (3rd party drivers can nudge it into functionality–but they're risky to install). Given the KKmoon's low price, none of this is surprising. Wish it was more reliable. The scope's manual focus actually works well. Also wish the attached USB cable were longer.
