It works, but not an authentic product
6 of 8 found this helpful This is my first climber and it is a great work out, takes up very little floor space, is pretty quiet, and folds up easily for storage. I highly recommend a climber for those living in small apartments looking for a good cardio workout, but this particular one may not be the best choice. The biggest issue is that it is not an authentic Maxiclimber as the listing leads you to believe. There are many generic climbers out there, but the reason I chose this listing is because I believed it to be the name brand which is generally regarded as the best based on my research, however it arrived with no actual branding and a very generic user guide. It is clearly a knock off.
That said, it seems to be well made and has held up well so far after a couple weeks of almost daily use, but not being authentic I worry about how it will hold up in the long term. Mine was also missing some minor pieces of hardware needed to attach the startionary handles, but I was able to make it work using some hardware I had laying around.
I considered returning it out of principle, but it is probably more trouble than it is worth. If you are on a budget, this may be a good option, but if you can spare another 50$ or so, than I would recommend buying directly from Maxiclimber's website to ensure you get an authentic product.
