Always but "Original" products.
In the past I have purchased so called "compatible" new chargers & batteries and have found them to be of inferior quality and not equal to the Dell "originals". Even used the original Dell units work the first time and outlast the knockoffs.

Even Used Stay With Dell
Whenever possible you should always buy "original" Dell product/parts. I've had too many "compatible" & "new" batteries for these older Dells that fail and fail multiple times consecutively. Never had a problem with a used Dell original battery.
