3 of 3 found this helpful I'm an over the road truck driver that hauls oversized dimensions. I must use my radio with escort drivers and have it be heard over others near me. This is a great medium power option in one package.
Make sure you adjust your SWR's correctly or you can damage the finals on this radio. I use a single 5' Firestik antenna. I've achieved 1.5 SWR. This radio gets out for a few miles in the daytime and at night it will talk over a dozen miles. I highly recommend this product, especially if you drive an 18 wheeler. Money well spent.
