It is what it is
This is a cheap, but functional, scale. It arrived with the weigh plate broken off of the ballast cup. Much of the ballast was loose in the box and/or lost during shipping as a result. I had to make up lost ballast, re balance and calibrate the scale, and re-adhere the plate to the top of the ballast cup to repair the scale. Otherwise, it is completely functional, accurate enough for my purposes, and it did not cost very much.
