Perfect solution

2012 Focus cooling fan started coming on when driver's door opened and engine off. Then cooling fan would randomly quit while driving and A/C would go warm. Replaced the cooling fan control unit with this part and fan works normally now. Don't waste your time with Ford - they only sell the whole cooling fan assembly for $$$.
