Brief & Informative
The book isn't long. It describes and shows the films it describes. It has pics, captions to go with them and some summaries of some of the films described. Well worth a musical fan's time.

Perfect Musical
I recently watched this movie after getting it on the 28th. Boy, was it worth it. The tape wasn't blurry or fuzzy in regards to the scenes. Nor did it skip ahead at any time. Heck, it didn't mess up the sound. Well worth buying.

Great Beginning To Cultographies
Before I begin, I need to state this series is a look at cult movies from the perspective of a genius who may or may not have watched the movie he/she analyzed before doing his/her work for this series. So, don't be angry at the author if he/she confesses not to have been a fan of the film he/she is reviewing before doing it. With that out of the way, I must state the likes. The topic was great, the analysis was detailed and thorough, the author backed up his opinions with facts and reasons, the introduction was well-stated. Not to mention the body chapters all backed up the author's intent and stated them properly and the conclusion wrapped up his intentions. A must read for film fans even if you're not a Rocky Horror Picture Show fan and the perfect starting point to start reading the Cultographies series with. In my opinion, though, just read the ones that talk about the pre-production, production, post-production, release and analysis of the film it's detailing (i.e. this book, Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, The Evil Dead & This Is Spinal Tap) and avoid the ones like Blade Runner, Donnie Darko, Frankenstein and Quadrophenia as they don't do any of what the stated titles do and may leave feeling bogged and tired before the last chapter.
