A good antenna for a fair price

The price for these is decent but its honestly a tad high for what you get. The SWR I measured only gets to 1.5 not the 1.2 that was claimed in the tech specs. Also I find the design to be a tad narrow in bandwidth for the intended purpose. Its a fairly low gain antenna but that is what you want for a sailboat. As once you are heeled over a beamy horizontal pattern will just send half your signal into space and the other half into the water. It is quite robust and anything that will break is either warranted or easily replaceable.
