Better than Oreck for sure !
This vacuum is better than the 300.00+ Oreck I have bought in the past! I've bought 2 Orecks over the last 30yrs.,and neither has had the suction that this Shark has! I would suggest this vacumn to anyone I know & even strangers! :) another thing is it ,it is great for textured rugs, couldn't believe the stuff that came out of my rug the next day since I vacuumed with my Oreck the day before! One pic is next to a 5.5" bowl !

Small vacumn w/ great suction
This little canister has great suction! I bought it to replace my 20yr old Oreck XL that died after many yrs. of use.
