Made my BBQ look like new - and stays on!
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this to renovate my gas BBQ.
After wire brushing off all the old flaky paint and rust, I sprayed the whole inside of the tray around the burners and both inside and outside of the main body.
Despite it being advertised as Heat Resistant Paint, I wasn't really expecting it to withstand the heat in the cooking part of the BBQ, but much to my surprise it has remained looking pristine despite the BBQ being used for several hours on three occasions now.
Highly recommended - does exactly what it says on the tin.

Better than the original, but presents a few challenges!
I bought this burnber and the associated oval porcelaine splatter plate/heat diffuser to overhaul my Anthony Worral Thomson BBQ.
This new burner fitted my BBQ perfectly with all the necessary holes in the right places and the right fixings all supplied in the box. Fitting the tubes to the bottom of the burner was very simple using the supplied screws and gaskets.
The only issues I encountered was with the fitting of the 2 x spark igniters to this new burner (the existing igniters are reused).
The issue is that you have to reuse the old brackets to hold the igniters to the new burner and in my case these were badly rusted so I was unable to undo the screws in the brackets to release the actual sparking part, making it impossible to remove the remains of my rusted burner from the BBQ.
The solution to this as to unplug the igniter cables from the back of the spark unit in the control panel (small spade connectors), so the whole rusty burner could be removed from the BBQ with the ignitiers attached, making it much easier to then work on getting the igniters and brackets freed up.
With a bit of effort, I managed to remove the brackets from the old burner, and clean them up. They were rusted but not so badly that they could be reused.
This is where you will encounter another challenge. The igniter brackets were pop-riveted onto the old burner, so after cleaning them up, I then needed to pop-rivet them on to the new burner (the holes are ready made in th new burner).
Fortunately I do own a hand pop-riveter, so this wasn't an issue for me, but it would be a problem for anyone that doesn't. The solution to this would be to use a small nut and bolt instead to hold the brackets on (around M3 x 10mm - you would need two of these), but you would have to buy these, as they are not supplied in the kit.
Alternatively, a quick trip to your local car repairers, and the exchange of a small sum, I am sure that they would supply and fit these two small pop-rivets for you (takes about 30 seconds with the right tools).
Having overcome these couple of challenges, the whole thing slipped into my BBQ and fitted well - just be sure that you get all three pipes over the three gas outlets on the back of the control panel before fitting the screws through the bottom of the grease tray to hold the burner in place.
Another important tip is to loosen the screws on the burner air adjuster swivels, at the end of the gas tubes BEFORE you fit the burner to the BBQ (I didn't, and it was not much fun trying to do this with the burner in place).
Once you have done this and reassembled the rest of your BBQ, you need to light your BBQ and ADJUST the burners by turning the burner air swivels until you get a decent blue flame on all three sections of the burner when lit. There are various Videos on thw eb to show you how to do this - can't post a link here, sorry.
Once adjusted correctly, nip up the retaining screws to stop them moving and enjoy your BBQ Summer!
DO NOT SKIP THIS ADJUSTMENT STEP - it is the difference between a BBQ which gets hot and cooks your food quickly, efficiently and safely or a not so hot BBQ which may smell gassy, and not cook your food properly!
IN SUMMARY, this burner is an excellent and well-made replacement for the original, and being made of Stainless Steel, it should last a lot longer than the original did! It fits well and works brilliantly, although presentinga couple of challenges along the way.
I was delighted to find this item in the UK, as all these parts seemed to be in the USA with very expensive shipping and customs cost.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Well made OEM quality bearings that fit perfectly. Haven't driven much on them yet, but all seems fine so far.
