I PURCHASED THIS SET PRIMARILY FOR AQUIRING THE REMOTE CONTROLLER
3 of 3 found this helpful I already had a set of earphones which came with my Insignia CD player. They produce a fine sound and the cover over the ear portion is much more durable than what came with the earlier CD Insignia players. I needed the remote that was part of the set, because mine had a wire that had broken where it was connected to the remote and would not work properly. I love the remote and all its functions- It can skip forward or back to a tune or reading section with a book. It also has an excellent volume control and pause button all that are useful, again when interrupted when listening to text or music, allowing you to continue right where you paused. Unfortunately it only works with the Insignia, so one cannot connect it to any other brand CD player.

Was able to completelly charge immediately.
Fully charged up battery and tested it in my phone. Purchased it as a spare and have had no problems with it. Seems to be long lasting and functioning as I would expect with an OEM.
