Good product, beward the dreaded RROD
I purchased a used Xbox 360 on eBay and it ran a total of 15 minutes before giving me the Red Ring of Death (RROD) and refusing to power on. I had to buy a repair kit online for another $30 to fix the issue, and now the Xbox works great. However, I do not believe this was the first time this Xbox had been disassembled, as there were broken plastic clamps and seals on the inside (even though the warranty seal was intact).
If you are savvy when it comes to repairing electronics a used Xbox 360 is a great deal. However, if you aren't, I would recommend purchasing a new Xbox 360 to get the warranty. Microsoft refuses to honor the warranty for second-hand Xbox sales. Additionally, beware anyone on eBay that sells their Xbox with no return policy. In my opinion there's a reason they don't want it back.
