Do yourself a favor
Good price for simply the best tuners I've ever used. They installed without any modification, can tune very finely, and hold that tune well on my tremolo equipped Les Paul Melody Maker.

Definite Improvement
Definitely an improvement over the old screwless/press fit mounting pads for Athearn motors. I have a couple locomotives where the original pads went brittle and broke upon removal for motor cleaning. These new pads are direct replacements and being screwed in place as opposed to press fit makes them much more durable and easier to work with.
