Result thinner than a jar of tomato sause
As far as the Yes on Do you recommend it, contingent on the below.
The counter top brace does not open wide enough to fit our Quartz counter top. Adding 1/4 to 1/2 inch would be very helpful. It was very hard using the press with this disadvantage, as trying to hold it in place while turning the press lever was quite difficult.
We also thought the consistency would have been much thicker.The result of putting the tomatoes through the Press resulted in something a bit thicker than tomato juice?? We had to look all over the Internet for thickening recommendations, and did not find any that seemed suitable.
We have a lot of tomatoes and were hoping the press would make things easier.
