National Geographic Field Guide to Birds of NA
4 of 4 found this helpful This is by far the best guide I own out of many! It has drawings of all the variations of seasonal and gender colorations. I looked for a new species in four other well known guides. This one is the only one that led me to the correct identification!

Barkley Come Home

second graders for years. It is out of print, so you must get it on eBay or
a similar source. Read it to 6 and under, but 7 and up can read it themselves.
Wonderful family book.
