PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-G6KEB-K G Micro Digital Camera 14-42mm Lens kit - EX-DISPLAY

Bad ergonomic design. Over complex software.

I bought this camera as a step up from the excellent Lumix FZ200 bridge camera. The manual for it isn't far short of a copy of War and Peace in size, but I was determined to persevere and get good photos from what promised to be a high specd M4/3 camera. My initial dislike came from the location of the FN4 button that is inevitably triggered by the pad at the base of your thumb. This meant that instead of seeing the image you wanted to photograph you were presented with a full screen appertaining to making a wifi connection. The huge manual was far from helpful in how to reconfigure the buttons for something less domineering. I ended up going to an online forum. I am principally interested in wildlife photography and found the lethargic way this camera focused a real pain. On top of that it's claimed burst rate could never be achieved. Battery life was also rather abysmal. It didn't take me long to dip in my pockets again and buy a camera by the other M4/3 manufacturer, which I cant fault in any way. Panasonic have superseded this camera. Not surprised.

Nissin New i40 flashgun for Olympus / Panasonic system very compact

Returning flash user delighted.

Not haveing used an add on flash for some decades. I was expecting a bit of a learning curve with a new fangled device with loads of built in controls. No worries, the instruction leaflet explained everything concisely, and the flash performd exactly as required. Felt I had spent my money wisely to get an excellent device to enhance my photography skills.

Well made sparrow nest box.

Had only installed this for less than an hour and found a house sparrow inspecting it. Hopefully when next years breeding time is here, all three apartments will be occupied.
