A very good flashlight
The flashlights were adequately packaged and promptly delivered. Out of the box, the flashlights work perfectly.

States of Fall from Grace
1 of 4 found this helpful Here is what I like about this dvd. It was promptly delivered. It was well-packaged to ensure its arrival in excellent condition. I liked the artwork on the cover of the dvd.
As for the content, I have problems, to be perfectly honest.
I had seen 'God's Army' and was taken by the writer/director/producer. I thought 'God's Army' presented a respectfully accurate of LDS missionary demands, challenges, struggles, failures, and triumphs.
So, I had great expectations with 'God's Army 2' in view of the artistic success of 'God's Army.'
In 'God's Army II, we have a pair of LDS mssionaries laboring in Venice CA. Having grown up in LA and spent time surfing South Bay, Santa Monica, Malibu, Secos, County Line, and Rincon, I know of Venice's offbeat ambience.
But for LDS missionaries to rent housing in the middle of Venice and on the beach, no less? I don't think so. Their mission president would not sanction it for the very reasons depicted in the movie. Living next door to a babe? The second the zone leader checked out the living quarters of Elder
Serricchio and Elder Fleicher with its view of the babe next door, they'd be outa' there pronto. Getting caught in the cross-fire of an attempted execution between gang[bangers would result in the re-assignment of these two elders. The mission president would have ordered it. Those elders easily could have been cut down.
Thus, the premise of the movie requires a willing suspension of disbelief. But there's more.
Lamont Stephens, as a rival gang-banger searching for his grandmother's spiritual influence, goes ballistic when another gang does in his little brother. Bro. Lamont not only leads the search for one of the rival gang member, he also puts a gun to the poor sap's head. When Lamont's conscience finally kicks in, he does nothing to prevent one of his hyped-up associates from blowing the guy's brains out. This is not only aiding and abetting and, yes, the felony murder rule applies. Bro. Lamont played a significant role in the execution of the rival gang member. As a former prosecutor, I would not hesitate seeking a sentence of life without possibility of parole for Lamont. And I would go after a conviction of Lamont with a passion because he led the stalking, pursuit, and trapping of the rival gang banger. Then, when conscience leads Lamont to confess to Elder Serricchio and receive absolution, I said this now is a movie about a hip minister of some progressive church which bends to accommodate the worst of killers. Once Lamont was baptized into the LDS Church, his local bishop has jurisdiction and not Elder Serricchio. A dedicated LDS bishop would convene a bishop's court and act to ex-communicate Lamont--or put his case on hold until the DA had completed his prosecution of Lamont. In view of the execution style of the rival gang banger, Lamont should have been prosecuted and convicted--unless no one fingers Lamont and his gangers as the execution squad. But the LDS bishop, for Lamont's sake, would have to act. Having sat in on a dozen bishop's courts, Lamont's circumstances would evoke mercy but not at the expense of justice in this case, based on the facts presented in this movie. Sure, Lamont was upset in view of what happened to his kid brother. Sure, he acted in the heat of passion. But Lamont had time to cool down and only too late 'abandoned' the crime.
I further found the display of violence gratuitous, almost as if to elevate it to an expressive art form.

Handy volumes
These are quite handy for materials that I need to have out and that I frequently refer to. The storage devices are easy to set up, hold up nicely, and help me keep better track of my materials. These were reasonably priced as well.
