Pulse D-606 Tom/Snare Drum Microphone inc shock mount drum clip studio band PA

Small, rugged, great clip for cast rims.

I have 2 of these mics. 1 on top of the snare. The set up with the clip keeps it well away from the center. It is small enough not to get in the way but if you do hit it by accident its shape deflects your stick without the mic sustaining any damage. The second mic is on an extra floor tom. Sound reproduction is very good, from the click of the snare to the thud and deep tones of the floor tom. I use these in conjunction with a different make set of drum mics, (I have more drums than I had mics) both live and in the studio and they merge well with them through different mixing desks. I am very satisfied.

Quality for recording.

I use 2 of these mics in the studio, 1 for my High Hat cymbals and 1 for the underside of my snare. They reproduce the sound exceptionally well and I am more than satisfied. We have also used them to record a bass guitar and a lead guitar. Opinions from the rest of the band is "They record as well as a Sure 57". I tend to agree. I have not used them live on stage so unable to comment about feedback or sound bleed.

Zildjian 16" Planet Z Crash Cymbal PLZ16C

Zildjian Crash, does what it says on the side.

This is Zildjians cheaper range which I bought to replace a broken cymbal for a practice kit. After 30 mins of playing I knew I had made a good purchase. It sounded that good it is now part of my studio kit and records very well. I am tempted to take it with me and play it live at my next gig as it is as good as my stage set of cymbals. Well done Zildjian.
