Exactly OEM PART 2000 explorer XLT4WD
The Motorcraft, DPFE EGR system switch fit perfectly, and was the exact part just as the one I took off that was faulty for my 2000 Ford Explorer, XLT 4.0 OHV. It solved my problem with the check engine light and I did replace the two high temperature vacuum hoses that went to the switch as well but my old ones were still good. I just dug it for maintenance feel good purposes ALL GOOD

Fixed my idle issue
My 2000 Ford explore 4.0 OHV motor Was idling rough, and would take off at a high idle all by itself. I have replaced the spark plugs and wires, and the motor was in good condition, but the AIC was allowing it to run rough and speed idle up for no reason. I found this on eBay and the price was right, so I tried it and it received in good condition relatively quick shipping and it took care of my problem. Now the big Ford explore runs good idles well and have no more issues now as far as longevity we will have to wait and see but as of now it’s doing great

OEM sensors are the only way to go
The Motorcraft DY967 is a direct fit for my 2000 Ford Explorer 4.0 overhead valve engine. Although that part will fit many different configurations as far as engine size and year, but I’m still having trouble with mine and I have discussed with the Ford professionals and found out that they have a throttle positioning sensor made just for my overhead valve engine, that will read better from the PCM, that’s what I’m looking for. Mine is still not registering a signal like it should but it’s no fault of the part.
