Stealing Home Has All the Bases Covered; Christian Historical Romance!
This is my 1st review and my 1st time reading anything by Allison Pittman so here goes.
It's a wonderful story of 4 very different people, each with a secret passion they are hiding; a young woman still haunting by childhood taunts, a young business owner who was injured as a young boy that still secretly loves the person who harmed him, a super-star in the early days of baseball (1905) and his thrist for acohol may ruin his career before it even takes off and finally, a 12 year old young boy who happens to be Black and dreams of leaving the "1-horse town" for the big city to become Someone.
In the backdrop of these great characters, a historical lesson of life in the early 1900s includes believing in God and his works, the great game of baseball and what went on behind the bleachers after the fans are gone, and
dreams...just beautiful dreams of what may come.
2 very different young men, 1 lonely yet beautiful young lass and the 12 year old colored boy that brings them all together and then how they get past a terrible tragedy and smile again.
Do I like Ms. Pittman's work..no, I love it!! Right now I'm reading her next historical Christian theme book called,
"The Bridegrooms"...the name of a baseball team from Brooklyn that comes to play the Cleveland Spiders. A tragic secret, four sisters, a baseball beaned injured man, and all the excitement that can come to a smart part of town...again set in the early 1900s.

Mom, Dad and Baby all love the soft and chewy chicken bones!!
A great new product for our 3 Aussie Cattle dogs that they really like!! Mom and Dad Jack and Jill) because they are getting old... aren't we all?! Baby Bella just loves them, she has a tummy that never is completely full and yet she has a gorgeous figure...lol! They really do like them and we like the price for the amount!!
