Missing on/off switch but works well. Alarm is loud enough.
Works well but the one thing missing is a switch to turn it off. You have to remove the battery (1.5v AAA) when you are finished using it. There is no on/off switch.
Measures min & sec or temperature (switch on the back). Temperature probe cable is long enough. Has a magnet on the back to attach the unit to the stove, or use the little flip arm to stsnd it up.
The only design flaw is, no on/off switch.

Great product, wore out the first one
Has everything except a phone, but can dial my cell from the blue tooth connection. Calc, address and phone list, calendar, todo list, alarm clock, MP3 player, JPG picture displayer, science calculator, WEB Browser, Shopping list by stores type, Microsoft document read and update, PDF displayer, Express NEWS, syncs news, sports, etc via wifi. Even has an app for writing and drawing on the screen like using a paper napkin, but you get to keep it in one place. Sycronizes with the PC so I always have a backup copy of everything. Threw out all those paper notes, post its, scraps of paper, address books that I used to keep.
Only problem with the old one was the screen had to be recalibrated periodically.
