Porter Cable 5140118-37 Compressor Gasker Kit K-0159

REQUIRED to go along with replacing the intake and exhaust valves.

Just what the doctor ordered when replacing the intake & exhaust valves along with restricters. (purchased separately). The compressor in the picture is 41 years old. You will see that the exhaust valves are pretty rusty. I did the best that I could to remove the screws without twisting them off. Including penetrant oil and heat. No go. So plan on drilling them out and putting in new threads. Clean everything up, bolt everything back together (25 to 30 ft-lbs. torque) and this compressor is running like new!

Saved me LOTS of time!

I was worried that the crank to camshaft timing chain had jumped time on my truck. So I purchased this to verify piston TDC compression stroke. The whistle was so sensitive that it stopped whistling right at TDC. Zero degree timing matched the mark on the crank. So all was OK! I did not have to remove the timing cover etc. Well worth the price of the tool.
