Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D
3 of 3 found this helpful This is a good lens for someone wanting to explore low light photography with fast apertures like 1.8. The background blurs nicely and the sharpness at 1.8 is good. The sharpness at f 8 seems to be better. The lens is well constructed and feels good in the hand. With proper care it should last for many years. The pricing was more then fair for this lens. The Nikon AF 5mm f/1.4 is several times the price. If you can afford the 1.4 then go for it. The 1.8 is a great introduction in to faster prime lens.

HB-23 Lens Hood for Nikon 10-24mm lens.
The HB-23 Lens Hood fits onto the Nikon 10-24 mm snuggly. Press on and twist to lock into place. I have pulled on the hood when locked and it will not come off. A very good fit. The lens cap will still fit with the hood in use. To remove twist the hood in the opposite direction and it come off as easy as it went on. The HB-23 fits nicely onto the lens when not being used. The quality is good even though it is plastic it feels strong enough. With some care this hood should last for years. A good value for the money.

Survival Whistle / A Plus Sirvivall
1 of 1 found this helpful The whistle is made out of high impact plastic. There is no ball inside to worry about. The sound is loud enough to hurt my ears. Well worth the money. How can you place a value on something that might save your life? It is already attached to my fishing vest. My fishing takes me into the back country where survival is not a walk in the park. Very glad to have it.
