Works but not as expected - Dell PowerEdge R710

I ordered this card to replace a stock Dell PERC 6i in a Dell PowerEdge R710 however, this does not work when plugging into the Raid card slot. It will function when plugged into another expansion slot and the old PERC 6i card in the Raid card slot. Also, discovered that I needed to order different cables, so make sure you know if you need these cables.
