The Schumann Resonance is important come to find out for a variety of reasons
1 of 1 found this helpful There is an audiophile specialty product from a different manufacturer that has been professionally reviewed with high praise for the improvement it made in the sound of the reviewer's system. Mind you, the reviewer's system was of very high end components. I then also read of other positive user experiences during my subsequent research into this concept.
The aforementioned specialty product is at least twice as expensive as this product. Yet, it is molded out of plastic and does not come with a separate aluminum-encased linear power supply like this Zero Zone product does. Additionally, I cannot help but think that the Zero Zone product having a tube could be anything but a good thing, and the amazing thing is that it came with around four extra tubes.
Upon unboxing the product I was at first dismayed by what appeared to be scratches in the black plexi top and bottom of the wave generator portion. However, upon closer inspection I realized that there was a very thin protective layer of plastic. Complete removal of the plastic protective layer involved using my fingers to slightly loosen the four long screws holding the body together in order to remove tiny shreds of the clear protective covering that was lodged underneath. However, now I could more completely see the beauty and quality of this product.
I plugged it together on my kitchen counter and had not yet turned on my system at that point when I immediately noticed that I felt more relaxed and my concentration seemed improved. Then I lay down on the couch and unintentionally fell asleep until the next morning. This is amazing because I usually wake up during the night. So, the next night I moved the Zero Zone product upstairs to the nightstand in my bedroom and found somewhat similar results.
This morning I carried the Zero Zone back downstairs and set it up on my equipment rack at the recommended 5 - 6' above the floor. Then I turned on my system and did some on and off testing using the same song. Upon careful listening the sound was indeed better, the separation of instruments was slightly improved, the bass was slightly more palpable and the overall texture was better.
Bear in mind that your mileage may be different. My sound system was already high resolution, certainly not as high as some, however, I would say probably an 8.5 or 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. I also have some slight room improvements such as corner bass traps which helped a ton BTW, and a shag carpet that made a very large improvement as well.
So, that is my experience so far and I am purchasing another one to leave upstairs in the bedroom as well as a portable one for the office. I would get a full sized one for the office too, but I would not want to deal with any potential smirks from coworkers.
For now now, my contribution to humanity is complete.
