Only works on flat surface vents
1 of 1 found this helpful The magnet is not that strong, but it would suffice if the surface you are affixing it to is flat, like a fridge door. Unfortunately, my vents' slats stick up past the surface, and this magnet is not strong enough to stick to the edges of the slats, so it does not work for mine. I think that if the slats went in toward the duct and not out toward the room, then this item would probably work just fine. So it really all depends on the style of vent covers you are working with if this product will meet your needs or not.
