invention of wings. great title to this book
thoughtful and enlightening . We need to remember history so it doesn't repeat itself. I enjoyed this book. It lets you feel about how the slaves wanted to be free and to imagine how it could be done.

Optimistic and sweet
Ms. Porter writes very well and has old fashioned values. Pollyanna is a sweet story of an optimistic girl of 11 bringing cheer to the neighborhood. Her cheer and optimism should be taught in schools (?) Hmmm.

lots of space
I purchased a larger handbag because it seemed that my others were always to small. I love this one because it has more space than I actually need but it is great for being handy.
