Champ Ford 302 Oil Pan, 7 x 11-1/2 x 14 Inch

cross member clearance

this is a good quality pan, however the front of the pan is the same depth as the rear sump, and requires modification to clear cross members, and rack and pinions. the oil pump is 1.25 inches higher than the pan bottom, and the left front of the pan is a good inch outside the oil pump. a tighter fit around the stock high volume pump, would allow unmodified fitment to sportsman and limited late model racecars.

timing issues?

car ran rough. with codes for cam/crank sync. put new coil, cap, and rotor from this unit into old housing. all is good now.
