worked but not good
Used this to remove the sight on my Smith M&Pc .40 cal. Burned through the first 2 "drifts")which are actually just a length of black nylon rod) getting the sight off. they will not mar the surface, but are next to useless for installation, and if your sight is STUCK like most M&P are you're going to really have to work on it. If you have the extra cash, get the brass drift so you don't have to fight the round edges of these Drifts because they get flattened/out of shape within the first few strikes.

quality part
Jacked up the threads on my PS pump during install- this part is perfect fit.

Not 15 layers
Cover is not 15 layers- maybe 3 BUT it's actually better than I expected. The retaining system works well and it fits my 1988 Firebird perfectly per their size chart. The inner liner is soft and seems like it won't scratch my paint.
Great value.
