The old Anne Rice is back!
2 of 2 found this helpful I quit reading her vampire books after Queen of the Damned but gave this one a try and am so glad I did. The way this book is written it is reminiscent of her earlier books. There's alot of historical facts (and fiction) as Vittoro remembers his life and I was transported back in time. If you loved the early Lestat books then you'll like this as well.

Poppy Z Brite's Love in Vein
I actually love a good short story, I love them more when they are Vampire related. Some of the stories were a bit bizarre but overall it was a good read. I did read Love in Vein 2, also edited by Poppy Z Brite, and it was just as entertaining.
